The dentist I went to comes off as a very kind man and seems to care and every time I've went to him, I didn't have any complaints, but when I got a wisdom tooth pulled 2 weeks ago, as he was wiggling the tooth out, he kept hitting my left crowned incisor with the end of the tool he was using. It's been 2 weeks, and my crown came out with part of my tooth in it earlier today. Idk if it needed treatment prior to my extraction, but if it did, I would assume he would have saw it on the xray, which clearly, he didn't or else he would have said something, which makes me come to believe the tool hitting the crown broke the tooth inside the crown. Of course, when i called and told them what happened, the dentist told me he pulled the tooth on the right side and not the left (which I obviously knew) then he claimed he never hit that tooth. I know what I felt when he was pulling my (right) wisdom tooth out and I should have said something when it was happening. I won't be going back since he's calling me a liar. All I was wanting was to know if the xray showed decay and if it didn't then that would mean he broke the tooth and if that was the case then he should fix the tooth free of charge. Update: I went in to the see the Dentist and He of course is still denying about hitting the tooth. He said, "I have my opinion and you have yours.". All he did was re-cement the crown, he didn't fill where it broke because he said that there wasn't enough tooth to fill; I think he just didn't want to do it free of charge. He said my only other option would be to pull it and get an implant or partial. We were going to go with the Partial because he didn't tell me I would have to pay for it, but when I got to the front, they gave me a paper that said $400. All he would do for free was the re-cement. I am grateful he did re-cement it, but he said it is temporary and said it can last days, weeks, months, but he doesn't think it will last longer than a year because the crown of the tooth is gone. I feel like he could have built enough of it to get the crown on to last longer than months or a year, but like he told me, He doesn't feel he hit the tooth so of course he's only going to do the bare minimum. I just hope I don't end up getting an infection since he chose to just leave it how it broke and cover it with the crown. Edit: Went to a different dentist and they said that I didn't have cavities where Dr Terrebone said I did.
