I was truly shocked and amazed that in 2022 there are businesses out there that refuse to accept work due to personal prejudges and biases. I asked this business to check on a gas leak at my uncles house who has COPD and congestive heart failure and is in his late 70s. They said they went to the unit but it was to dangerous. I immediately called my uncle to leave the home for fear of a major gas leak and since I knew he had oxygen tanks in the home. When I asked my uncle where the company said the gas leak was coming from, he said they never showed. This confused me so I called the owner again to inquire. What was revealed from that conversation was that the company drove past the home which is located in the 70802 zip code. The reason cited, was that they felt the neighborhood was dangerous and that they were concerned about the truck being stolen. This is the same zip code of the LSU University and the property is located a mere 4 blocks away. My uncle has lived there for over forty years and has never encountered a single dangerous incident. Since then I have secured a wonderful plumbers at LOUISIANA PLUMBER SPECIALTIES LLC and recommend this company for anyone whose reading this! Not only were they professional they offered to apply a senior citizens discounted noting that most are often on restricted income! A company that truly cares about their community! I will be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau and also file a report to the Attorneys General Office. Updated to respond to owner: *** The owners response is a blatant falsehood in an attempt to try a conceal the truth. The incident he is alluding didn't occur when we called him out to inspect the property because he never even had the decency to stop. To try to compare a routine gas inspection (during the day, in a mostly student dominated neighborhood ) to trying to keep employees safe is a joke because you were never in any immediate danger but instead perceived danger due to your inability to mask your prejudices. The comparison of a routine inspection to employees safety and well-being has no foundation. . Additionally, he refuted the story but admits he never stops, which in and of itself is telling. No one asked you to rescue anyone as youre not EMT or anybodys savior. You asking where was I is an admit to divert attention from your lack of professionalism. But if you would like to know I was trying to call a professional to complete a job that was potentially life threatening to a senior citizen, with multiple health ailments, and the surrounding community. But bless your heart sir. I hope that the next time you encounter community you reflect on this experience. To potential customers please know that this business is deeply rooted in implicit biases and your money is best spent on businesses that do there job. Businesses that care about the community, regardless of the economic status of the community or a customers socioeconomic status. I will not waste additional energy or time on this business, but will instead contact the proper authorities so others arent subjugated to this type of treatment in their time of need. I will be placing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and filing a report to the Attorney Generals Office.

I called Tims in search of someone to clean out my washing machine drain line. Although this was not a service he was able to provide me, he was able to give me the name & phone # of a very nice and professional man who was able to take care of me the same day at an affordable price. If I have any plumbing needs in the future I will most definitely use Tims Proficient Plumbing! Thank you
