Southern Flooring

I have been looking at flooring for a few days. Southern Flooring has been wonderful answering all my questions. I currently have several samples at my home trying to decide on the best choice. Kyle has been very accommodating with changing out samples. He is very knowledgeable. I will be making a final decision in the next day or so. I will update my review once they measure and give me all the information for the installation.

Love my floors! Everyone here is very friendly, personal and professional. I had multiple rooms done, and they did a great job. I would highly recommend.

When I was replacing flooring in my home I purposely chose a locally owned business over a big box store thinking the customer service would be better and I wanted to support a small business. Unfortunately my experience led me to leave this review. I have no complaints about the selection process. I worked with Kyle who was knowledgeable and more the accommodating. My issues started with the installation when the employees arrived hours late to begin the job. Over four days they arrived anywhere from 1 to 3 hours later than I was told. Since I was paying someone to be present when they arrived this definitely cost me more money and was much more disorganized than it shouldve been. The job was completed on a Thursday, I paid for it on Friday and Saturday my painter found a damaged plank. It was either defective or damaged on install. Either way after four days and 8k that was very disappointing. I spoke with Kyle the following week and his only response was Im sorry youre upset. I suppose I expected more. There were many ways to handle this situation. Come to my house and assess the damage, ask me to send a picture, refund part of the installation charge etc or at the very least make it a priority to fix the plank. He stated he would have to see when the installers could return to my house since they were already on another job. I guess hes still working on that because its been six weeks without any contact. Had there been any follow up or the slightest interest in making this right I wouldnt have left this review. But I guess since the job is paid for Southern Flooring has moved on.
