Your situation as a first-time sole proprietor is important to us, and we regret that we did not meet your expectations.It's clear we fell short in explaining the details of your tax return, and for that, we sincerely apologize. I did however feel like the questions you were asking were somewhat asking me to teach you how to do a tax return which would have needed to be a whole separate paid engagement. Your feedback about our communication and responsiveness has been noted, and we will take steps to ensure clearer and more thorough explanations in the future.Regarding the pricing, we understand your concern and we always aim to provide value that matches our fees. We are continuously reviewing our pricing structure to better reflect the services we offer, especially for clients with simpler tax situations. However, your return is not what we look at as a simple tax return category. You actually as you yourself stated earlier are a sole proprietor which falls into a business type return and our website does clearly states that “Sole Proprietor Schedule C Tax Prep (Starting at $400)”. Considering that that was not the only thing causing your fees to increase, I do believe that our website should have clearly portrayed that you would be paying at least that. I show that your invoice was $490 which does reflect our pricing according to what forms we needed to prepare you an accurate tax return not to mention that we reworked your return several times trying to teach you more than one tax code regulation. We strive to keep all our clients in compliance with IRS guidelines because we stand behind our tax returns and we look out for our clients. Regarding the feeling of being rushed, the tax deadline is Monday which is just a few days away so there really is a sense of urgency when we are trying to avoid you being assessed with penalties for not filing on time etc. We are considered a Professional Bookkeeping and Tax Firm and we always strive for clientele that sees value in our Advisory, Bookkeeping, Taxes & Notary services we provide to the public. As you can see, we have been around for quite some time with tons of great reviews. I know we can not satisfy everyone but we sure try our hardest.
