Gene Thomas Callais JR., MD

Dr. Gene is a great doctor. Some of his staff a zero. "Rochelle" is very rude and nasty when having to deal with her. Today was the last straw. Will not go into details, been a patient for at least 4 years. She should be fired before she brings the Office down. Sorry to say that. Will change review once I hear from Dr. Gene if things improve.

Nurses are very friendly, the receptionist at the front not so much if you have to cancel an appointment. I wanter to leave after waiting forty five minutes past my scheduled appointment time the receptionist was insistent that I provided a reason why. Not sure why, I told her nothing was wrong I just wanted to leave, she persisted. I had struggled with ADD during my elementary and middle school years. I grew up feeling like I was mentally sick having to rely on a prescription to get my worm done. Getting by in highschool without medication was something I was able to do with the help of great teachers. Several months later, after a very difficult first year at college I returned for an appointment regarding my previous diagnosis. I was surprised to meet Doctor Callais rather quickly this time. I was greeted as soon as I was finished with the nurse. We talked for around thirty minutes. He asked me a series of questions yet he came to conclusuon. Never did he say I don't think that you have ADD because of A), B), C). After asking me questions, he gave me what I assume to be a self diagnosis sheet. He then left the room to talk with another patient, about "what kind of muscle relaxers he liked last time" and the golf trip the Dr was going to be taking next Wednesday. Overall, my insurance company and I spent way over hundreds of dollars to receive a half hearted attempt at diagnosis. I will not be returning.
