If you want to understand Hanlon's razor join Martin. Had to fight to be paid for all of my online training, had my pay for in person training in Kilgore withheld for an extra week due to a holiday that was on the Monday after the training happened if that makes sense. Then the in person training is 14/hr not a livable wage took three weeks due to my trainer working 3-4 days a week for 6-12 hours a day. I almost went homeless behind the problems with pay and training. When I finally got in a truck they constantly PURPOSELY (I know because I asked) multiple times sent me with the wrong equipment and trailer to try and get over on Calumet, central, and me. I'd waste days behind my superiors poor choices, because if you have a baffled trailer that had crude or grease you can't load a volatile solvent like heptane because you will never clean it good enough so that it won't contaminate the load, unless you get a confined space entry permit and clean it from within. I came to the conclusion it was intentional because it happened so often and due to the fact the if Calumet makes the mistake of actually loading it it will clean the trailer and the new last contained won't be crude or grease and they can finally load it with something else. As well I was constantly given wrong addresses, vague instructions, or the employer failed to inform me or give me the proper PPE to handle chemicals. (Face shield and apron) Your superiors won't know FMCSA code. They'll hound you about preventative maintenance check up but when you write it up, they won't bother working on your truck and will just dispatch you over and over again while complaining. Mechanics are not allowed to walk the yard and work on problems they see. This lead to me having something wrong almost everyday I must have lost thousands behind break down time that would take 1-5 hours each time. Also if there's a problem with your samsara they will order you not to run paper, and then if you have a violation due to that problem they will suspend you for a week regardless of if you document the problem or not. Honestly the incompetence would be fine if the pay justified it but with pay problems that made me the poorest I've been in 8 years this is the absolute worst company I've ever worked for. If you're a driver, don't wait until you're stressed out behind the wheel driving and making mistakes to quit. Also I forgot the fact that they revoked access to the bathroom on the yard for almost a week. Why I asked why I was told "people don't know how to pick up after each other, the mechanics have to clean the restrooms themselves" so Martin also believes in collective punishment and OSHA violations.
