Horrible experience and very disorganized. Did not provide updates throughout the process and had to call multiple times for information. Closing date had to be rescheduled three times due to loan being held up in underwriting without any other information. Had three different people requesting sensitive information via email throughout the process without any idea who they were. Got closing disclosure on the Tuesday before closing on Friday. Then got request for more information Thursday night before closing, after the loan was supposed to be approved on Tuesday. Website says someone will be at closing to ensure closing went smoothly. Of course no one was there and errors were found during closing that required correction before signing. After closing, first payment made to NOLA before loan was processed by whoever ended up taking the loan. Payment ended up getting lost by NOLA's finance department causing the bank that secured my mortgage to not receive the first payment, putting my account late. Fortunately, I made my second payment in time, avoiding a derogatory mark on my credit report by two weeks. NOLA's reason for the problem: I made my first payment too early. Unwilling to help after closing if you have questions about your mortgage or need them to fix their errors, even though they tell you to feel free to contact them if you have any questions. According to Jonathan Clem, "it's not their job" after closing. Clem is like your typical used car salesman that screws you in the deal and leaves you high and dry afterwards. Buying a home should be a exciting experience. NOLA Lending made sure it was the complete opposite. Definitely would not recommend their services to anyone.
