Dr. Boyd and his staff have been very professional everytime I have had an appointment. He was my Mom's doctor over 30 years.

The one star is not for Dr. Boyd. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Boyd for 28 years. We continued using him after we moved here to Alexandria, its been well over 28 years. He is extremely kind and a good doctor. But when I called the receptionist this week to ask what they recommend we get over the counter since my husband had tested positive for Covid. She was extremely rude, she said and I quote we dont treat Covid over the phone, weve been dealing with Covid for 3 years! She was yelling at me to the point I couldnt get a word in, she kept saying we dont treat Covid over the phone. I finally told her, ok I heard you and I hung up. I know Dr. Boyd would not approve of her yelling at me like that. We havent had Covid until now, and honestly we were scared and I just needed to know what we could get from the store to help with our symptoms or perhaps just a hope you feel better would have been enough.

I have been told that Dr. Boyd is a good doctor, however when I called to see if I could get my 93 year old mother, who can't seem to find a decent doctor to take care of her, I was immediately turned away by the "Gate Keepers". Especially the office manager who said and I quote... " I done told you already, we are not taking anybody". "I done told you". Very professional. This is what you will be working with if you are privileged enough to become a patient here. And of course the office manager already done decided who that will be. Believe me, the Doctor is not the only one who will be assisting you with your medical welfare. The office staff plays a huge part in your care. But don't worry, Dr. Boyd doesn't need your business. He has enough patients and can't help anyone else in need.
