This place is horrible. After them getting me a ride there I was told when I got there that I'd have to wait 36-48 HOURS before they would give me any Subutex. Any heroin addict knows that u usually start feeling/getting those detox symptoms after about 12-15 hours. Maybe 8 hours for some. So supposedly now the "new rule" is that they can't give u anything until u reach that timeline. So now u have to sit there and suffer for well over a whole day. If ur an addict PLEASE be mindful of this. I immediately left because thankfully they hadn't done my paperwork yet so I wasn't admitted yet. Then I was stranded in baton rouge. They wouldn't bring me back because all they want is to milk the Medicaid so of course they want u to stay.

Worst place ever to be sent to.I was sent here from the regular hospital for severe depression and let me tell you these people dont gaf about you at all.You dont eat unless another person come and say they are giving out plates and it was overwhelming sharing a bathroom with three other people. The shower was cold and short. They only give u a tiny bit of soap thats suppose to cover everything but dont. The only solution that they give you is more and more meds. This facility still haunts me til this day.I still have nightmares.I will never in my life volunteer myself again especially when it dont help you at all.

A patient had a loaded gun on the unit for 7 days and none of the administrators caught this until the very end of patient stay . Administrators treat hard working staff poorly and are very rude !

This is factually inaccurate. Based upon the time of your last use of Heroin, determines the timing of your first dose of Detox medicine. If the medicine is given too soon, it is dangerous to the patient as it can induce Rapid Withdrawal. In this case the first dose would have been approximately 11 hours after admission. But the dose can be administered earlier if the pt shows signs and symptoms of detox. As any other Healthcare Facility knows, we have things we need to improve upon, and we are trying our best and are committed to continually improving. But baseless, factually inaccurate information doesn't help anyone.
