Grimaldi's Pizza

If I could give it 2.5 stars I would, the food is just okay..

This was the first time I’ve ever walked out of a restaurant without paying. A truly horrible and inexcusable dining experience that shouldn’t have happened. Waited over an hour to get an appetizer and never received our pizza. The restaurant wasn’t busy either. We were told that the salad chef had left and that they didn’t have anyone to prepare our caprese salad which is, in essence, sliced tomatoes and mozzarella. When I explained the circumstances to the manager on duty they didn’t seem surprised. Hopefully a better restaurant occupies this space soon.

Terrible costumer service, we waited for 2hrs until we decided to leave. Definitely not your typical Grimaldi’s... Seriously disappointed with their management

I'm a little confused by what I'm reading in these other, recent reviews. The server we had was so good, it was like watching a completely unobtrusive show while we dined. We arrived late, and the hostess mentioned that the "chef" was just cleaning up the kitchen for the night. Suddenly our server appeared, and said, "Oh, nonsense. Follow me folks, and I'll make sure the chef gets you fed". After the server seated us, he went to the open kitchen and had a hilarious moment of false arguing with the cook, after which the cook gladly fired back up the brick oven. This was one of those few times that you have awesome food, and still everyone gets in the car after, and talks about how remarkable the server was! Even the fellow tossing the dough in the open kitchen noticed that the kids were watching, and he put on a great show, making them laugh several times. The pizza that we had (The Don) tasted awesome! The quality of service that we had a Grimaldi's our one night there was so remarkable that it almost felt magical. It would be kinda funny to go back and discover that service there typically sucks, as others have mentioned.
