DiGiulio Brothers Italian Cafe

We dropped in on our bicycle tour from Austin to St Augustine. Service was very nice and helpful, thanks folks! The food was good (pasta a nick too much cooked for a real al dente feel but thats more me being german and picky when it comes to pasta). Ambiente, well, the interior was nice and every table was set with white table cloth, so thumbs up for that! The only but and star missing comes from the interstate running over your laps when sitting outside. You dont bother or sit inside? Then Id come again

DiGiulio Brothers Italian Cafe is a wonderful Baton Rouge staple. They have some of the best old-world Italian food. It's like sitting down to a meal at grandma's home. Their atmosphere is great for date night or a quick bite, and their brunch is spectacular. Great food and wonderful service that will keep you coming back. Parking: Parking is on the side of and behind the building.

We were so looking forward to our valentines dinner here.. my husbands veal in his piccata was tiny. My eggplant and veal were burnt, not even edible. Really couldnt taste the veal it was more like burnt breading. I ate 1/4 and asked to have it packed up, waitress brought the bill and never brought the left overs back. We figured, no big deal it wasnt anything to make a big deal over. I definitely had higher expectations..very disappointed
