Boardwalk Suites Extended Stay

The place is a dump, the owner is a jerk that hires and fires and has added to the Baton Rouge homeless population. He has swayed from his original plan of a weekly stay at a value to a place that is way over priced for the area. The weekly place next door is only $256.00 a week with cooking area and smoking in rooms is allowed. Although nasty smelling pets are allowed but no smoking.

Not worth $103/night. There were still Sheetrock crumbles on the bed and under the pillows on the pull out couch along with screws and no hot water in the shower. Understandable this is still under construction, but previous reviews are deceiving.

I stayed here for a week and it was a great experience. The new owner and the housekeeping manager Brit were wonderful to work with. Any need I had, they accommodated. The room was clean and nicely presented. There was plenty of space and the bed was super comfy. There were 2 pillow types and I loved having the choice between squishy and firm. If I come back to the area I will definitely look into this place again. Extra bonus: on site security and tons of cameras The swings out back were super comfy and peaceful as well. I spent a lot of time in the blue one while my puppy played.

So much to disclose about the newly renovated property. First and foremost the staff was naturally personable, there was a sense of calmness upon entering the property. Upon having the opportunity to meet with 1 of the operating partners, Jason, he was passionate about his brand and the out of the box amenities, which include that the furniture was all from 4-5 star resorts around the country. As a construction journeyman it was an amazing location, which had restaurants, fuel stations and conveniences within a 5 minute walk.
