After another lawyer in Alexandria decided to not work with us anymore for my grandfathers succession , after doing research, we finally found Mr.Vicknair. He got us in right away and was very helpful. 10/10 recommended. He was very patient with us and is extremely competent at what he does. He is respectful, understanding and affordable . Thank you Mr. Vicknair for getting closure for my family in such a difficult time.

Didn't get past 5 minutes of consultation. Explained my situation and assistance needed, response was "I can't help you and, frankly, I don't want to." Wouldn't explain why and wouldn't point me towards someone else who could. Probably the rudest experience I've ever had. Edit in response to owner: Thank you for explaining why you didn't want me as a client. I'm sorry you didn't think you'd make enough money off me, and I respect your reasoning and your time. However, you decided to be vague and rude on the phone. Had you shown me the simple courtesy of politely sharing this explanation during our conversation, I would not have felt the need to share my experience.

Charged me $900 to file paperwork as administrator of my deceased fathers estate, and was told on 26-Jan-2022 in an in-person meeting around $400 would be refunded back to me once the paperwork was completed and filing fee refunded. 28-Jan-2022 inquired about the refund, no reply. 18-Feb-2022 inquired about the refund, no reply. Fast forward to July 2022, spoke with Theodore Vicknair on the phone, he needed some information requested by the county on me and reminded me he still owed me the refund, but that my refund was not a priority to him. Also, in the conversation the refund amount changed without notice. 08-Jul-2022 inquired about the refund, no reply. 05-Aug-2022 inquired about the refund, no reply. 22-Aug-2022 inquired about the refund, no reply. 06-Oct-2022 inquired about the refund, no reply. Over a year later, no refund and no reply. Misappropriation or taking of anything of value which belongs to another is considered theft. Because of Theodore Vicknairs theft of the filing fee refund, I would advise others to go somewhere else. Edit: After posting this review, I did receive a check in the mail for the proper amount owed, and a Parish printed itemized list of fees and balances. Theodore Vicknair's reply to this review is accurate except for his statement, "...appoint Mr. Bowden as Administrator of his father's succession so that he could search for succession assets". No, Theodore.
