Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lexington W - Versailles, an IHG Hotel

This is a very nice hotel. Clean, the room was spacious and employees were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the breakfast was disappointing. For those of us who travel frequently and try to eat healthy, we look for oatmeal and fresh fruit. Real oatmeal not the high sugar packaged kind. Some IHG hotels do it well but it is not consistent.

The hotel itself is fine for a short stay, its in a convenient location (near woodford reserve and rail riders which we had plans to do) The lobby, halls, and room all appeared to be well clean and maintained. Its nice they have breakfast, a pool, and small gym. My only complaint about this hotel is the noise. You can hear everything through the walls, through the ceiling, and through the door. We were room 207 and it had a conjoined room that was separated by doors, the issue was there was such a huge gap under the door that you could hear EVERYTHING. Upon arrival the other room had left their dog unattended and it barked, whined, and scratched at the door for 3 hours. When he returned we listened to him cough continuously, literally up until the day we left, we stayed 2 nights. I could even hear him using the bathroom. We had to roll a towel up and place it infront of the base of the door to help cancel out some noise. We heard people having loud conversations in the hall late at night and at the butt crack of Dawn, and the room above us you could hear whomever just causally walking through their room. The second night they placed a family with several kids above us and we listened to them run back and forth until midnight. If you are looking for a restful nights sleep, this probably isnt your place! Or maybe even bring some ear plugs or suggest a room on the very top floor!

Ask for a room on the top floor. Otherwise, you will hear your 'neighbors' upstairs walking around.

Beautiful hotel. The room was awesome, so fresh and crisp. Service great and breakfast delicious. Can't wait to go back
