Brandi Prather, DMD Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Prather does a good job as far as being a dentist, this review more for her staff and how the office operates. We've taken our three boys there for over 10 years with no issues until the last year or so. The last three visits have been frustrating. Twice we've shown up when scheduled for check-ups and was told they cancelled our appointment the day before because they pre-ran the insurance and it was denied. Taking off work and taking the kids out of school to get there and have our slot filled that we had scheduled 6 months in advance is very frustrating. The insurance was denied both times due to a change in provider. Had they waited until we showed up they would have the new card. We were always nice about it but the staff has always been rude. Yesterday was the worst. My son's filling fell out, we were just in there a couple of week ago for checkup. Spent over 45 minutes standing at the front desk on that visit. There was a line behind me of people trying to check in all the way out the front door. This was not me holding things up, I honestly have no idea what they were doing. Fast forward to yesterday when his filling fell out. Since he was just seen and ins covered then they should know we're good but refused to see him until they got ins to pre-approve. Their verification system or something was down so said they could mail our ins an approval request (snail mail with 2 week wait for approval) or we could pay $1300 cash to make the appointment and they could see him that day. We asked if the insurance would reimburse it if we paid and she said "that's for you to figure out". She said we would be responsible for contacting our ins and getting the money back. This was an all day process of calling and waiting on return calls. We were always kind and respectful but treated with rudeness and condescending attitude. Finally gave up and called associates in dentistry. They got us in right away and it cost $20, ins paid the rest no problem.

When I was a toddler, a dentist traumatized me. I still remember it to this day. Brandi prathers office was the first pediatric dentist here, and I remember going when her doors first opened. I will never forget how calm, and safe she made me feel. Her and her staff have made me feel so comfortable as long as I can remember. The love I have for her and her staff is so big. I could tell stories all day about the positive visits Ive had throughout the years as a patient. And now I have my own baby who will never face the fear of a dentist like I did. So thankful to have been welcomed to this office since the beginning. I will forever praise and recommend Brandi

She is perfectly professional and wonderful with the children! She goes above and beyond for her patients and I am so glad she is in our town!

I took my daughters here and they took about 10 minutes for each one but as soon as they got out , their teeth looked the same as if they did not even try to get the stains out.
