Owensboro Health Outpatient Imaging - The Springs

I waited for 6 weeks for an MRI. They called me 4 times for information, reminders, forms, etc. They even took payment for my portion ($135). Then less than an hour before my appointment, they call to tell me its not showing insurance authorization in my file. Horrible service. How do you know my coinsurance amount, but dont notice you dont have authorization on file??? I will be rescheduling my appointment with their competitor. Update- they rescheduled me promptly- no waiting. Everyone was super nice.

Took a friends granddaughter to the doctor. Had to call into the office to get to bring her on due to Covid. They were very fast and professional.

This had been a while ago but thy should have record of it. Went in to get an mri and the lady asked me to lay down and I told her I am a claustrophobic and I cant fit in there. She said let's try and she pushed down on the shield around me and the table went in and and I couldn't breath so I yelled stop and get me out of here and I couldn't hardly talk she couldn't get me out so she left and some guys came in and stated pulling on my legs and I was scare to death and couldn't hardly breath and hurting so bad from them pulling on my legs. When I got pulled out they all left the room it was just me. Got my self up finally and made it to the front desk there was no one except the woman behind the desk and she looked at me and said if you go anywhere but DCHospital we will not pay for it. They to this day have not contacted me to see how I was. Wouldnt let my dog go there. They should have a copy of it. If not I can look a date up real close to the time I finally went Lexington, Ky. To get an mri.

I have to have MRIs of the brain every 6 months. Everytime I have one done it is at RDI. All the staff there are so so very nice. I am covered in tattoos and i have very hard veins that roll. I am remembered by the lady doing the imaging and that gives me the contrast (always the same great lady). She remembers the tree branch that is tattooed in the bend of my arm and ALWAYS gets the needle in the first time without any issue (unlike other places and ppl who have to stick me 3 or 4 times). She also remembers that I have back issues and it's hard for me to lay still while laying on my back for a period of time, so she always makes it comfortable for me. Plus, being highly claustrophobic, she always chats and keeps my mind busy so I don't freak out. I highly recommend RDI and their staff to any and everyone. A huge THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE STAFF THERE!
