Gateway Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at the Gateway B&B on our way from Wisconsin to Tennessee. We were greeted by Ken who was right away helpful with suggestions and showing us around the place. The rooms are BEAUTIFUL. You definitely need to take a look at the photo album documenting Ken and Sandy's rehab of the old home from when they bought it in 1989. AMAZING. The bed was comfortable, the tub in the Henry Shriver room was just the perfect relaxation to kick off our vacation. Breakfast was delicious and Ken and Sandy were so fun to talk to. We highly recommend a stay here! Rooms: We got to peek into all the rooms and they're all adorably decorated with a private and updated bathroom.

A small and quiet place to set as your home base when exploring Newport. The hosts were knowledgeable about things we should try and do. The breakfast was hearty and worth the wait! Rooms: The rooms are clean with antique radios and paintings. It felt like I was walking into a house pulled from the Victorian era. Nearby activities: It is close to a bookstore and two coffee shops. Noteworthy details: They have a dead dog that is worth petting.

What a gem of a building! Absolutely stunning historic home in the most perfect location. My husband and I chose Gateway B and B mainly due to its closeness to our concert that we were attending, but wed visit again and again to see the house and share company with the couple that resides there. Ken and Sandy welcomed us with such kindness and consideration for our various needs, and cooked us some of the best breakfast items EVER! I cant recommend Gateway enough to everyone I know who may be interested in visiting the Newport/Cincinnati area. Safety: Great neighborhood with much care put into keeping the house locked at all times. Walkability: Within a mile of many restaurants and family friendly activities

If you love music, musical instruments or antique mechanical pieces, this is a great place to stay. The history and hospitality are amazing.

Stayed a night here and overall great experience. The entire house is gorgeous inside and out. The rooms were tidy and the bed comfortable. It's located near a bunch of venues within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly portioned. The owners, Ken and Sandy, are lovely people. If I'm ever back in the area this is where I'll be staying.
