Cave Run Lodging

I booked a cabin coming in Nov 3rd and leaving Nov 5th. I had to cancel my reservation and did so on Sept 22. Their cancellation policy is 24 hours for a full refund. I am on week 3 now and no refund, Leah is worthless on helping resolve this situation, she keeps saying its up to the owner yet won't get me connected. Today I filed a complaint with the BBB and I will be back in town in a month and will be paying them a visit if I don't have my $$ back. HORRIFIC customer service, Stealing customers money. RUDE, Disrespectful, and shady. Beware about booking w/them!!

Had a good weekend until I got home and realized I forgot my wallet and the owner Leah refuses to mail it and I drive 3 hours to get it during office hours only to be told she will not come to give it to me even though I had told her earlier in the day what time I would be there and she said it would be fine as long as I called first but when I called I got no answer. It wasnt until I got there and had to call several times back to back just to get her to answer and then she was very rude. I will never spend any of my money on these lodges ever again.

Rustic cabin with all the comforts of home. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything needed plus some extras like snacks, brochures of activities in the area, coffee, etc. There is a full size stove & fridge in the unit plus all the utensils, dishes, etc. The bed is comfortable and we slept well for the 4 nights we were there. The front porch has chairs for sitting and they even provide firewood to use in the large firepit. The location is close to I-64 and easy to find but just far enough to feel you are miles away. There is a small playground on site which little ones would enjoy. We are fifth-wheel campers and were coming to Cave Run to visit our son who is working in the area for several months. He & his family are staying in another property (also very nice) owned by the same folks so when we had problems with our camper we booked this cabin and came by car. We enjoyed it so much we were (almost) glad we weren't able to bring the camper! The price was very reasonable, almost the same as a hotel room and it has more than twice the space. Should we come back to this area in the future we would definitely stay here again.

My name is Sabrina Gullett and I recently stayed at Cave Run Lodging located in Morehead KY! Our stay was absolutely amazing! The beds was so comfy and I havent woke up without pain in my back in 10 years until staying there. I took pics of the mattress just to buy one at home. So comfy! The air conditioning worked so well and stayed good and cool! They also had a fan for when you sleep which I thought was so thoughtful. They had everything you need in kitchen, bathroom, shampoo, make Up wipes, conditioner, all grill utensils and kitchen utensils you can possibly think of. It was so peaceful and quiet and the porch Was so nice to just sat on and unwind. Also if you have kids there is a play ground updated equipment, a place to roast smores, and chill out by the fire! The kids and I cannot be more thankful for our little mini vacation at Cave run lodging! The host was so great! They were quick to respond as well! Also close by you have the Cave Run Lake within 1 mile, Pops famous BBQ, a dollar general, gas station, the fish hatchery, the spillway dam to the lake and also the beach access located at Twin Knobs. If you get a chance to stay please stay at Cave run lodging you wont regret it! Rooms: The rooms was cozy, clean, and so comfortable. Nearby activities: Cave Run Lake Twin Knobs Fish Hatchery Spillway Zippo Pops Bbq Dollar General BP Gas station Elliot pizza Morehead cinema Renos Cattlemans Safety: It felt so safe and secure. The doors was very safe and windows. The locks was easy to use and accessible! Walkability: Walking is so accessible and easy to get to the cabin. You can also walk the grounds, playground, and a local Hawaiian ice is within walking distance. Food & drinks: They offered us snacks and drinks upon arrival so helpful when hungry and thirsty trying to get unpacked. Noteworthy details: Clean, great Wi-Fi speed, lots of room, spacious, the shower was amazing and great water pressure! And the decor was modern and updated.
