This is the worst place I have ever been too. I had a shorkie who was only 13 weeks old. I came home to him having one bowel movement of diarrhea and he puked a little. My puppies gums was pink and he was breathing funny. My vet was closed . I called Shively vet and they wouldnt take me. This was the other place open and close to where I am at. They immediately took my puppy. We got a quote on the phone that it was 215 dollars just to look at him which was very high in my opinion. They came back out and said he was in critical condition and before they would do anything we would have to put down 650 dollars immediately. Luckily my boyfriend was able to help with that but other wise I wouldnt have had that money. We was there from 7pm to a little after 1am. When they took him back we waited 20 minutes to be sat in a room. After waiting for an hour and half we was given no updates on our puppy. I had to come to the front desk and ask for updates. They told us they were going to be doing all of these test . However come to find out they did NO TEST AT ALL. The only thing they did was an xray. He had a 30 percent chance of making it if we brought him. They wanted to keep over night for the price of almost 3000 dollars . I was willing to surrender my puppy as I didnt have that much money to pay. They rush you for payments . They arent compassionate. I was forced to make a very hard heart breaking decision . I had to my little puppy down. They had 650 dollars to work with and they chose to play with it. They are very slow at giving you updates . I am not pleased with my experience here at all. I could go way more into detail about my awful experience but this review is already so long.

My sister called my mom because she noticed something was wrong with their cat and this happened to be one of the closest Animal hospitals to them so I called this hospital and asked if they would be able to see my moms cat and the person who talked to us over the phone was extremely nice. They helped us figure out and understand what was wrong with the cat which was a uterus infection and required surgery. They were all really nice and told us that if we were worried about the cat before we got an update that we could call them. The surgery was a success and we were able to take her home the next day. This is the place we will take our pets to for emergencies if our vet isnt open. Would Definitely Recommend to family and friends

I feel their concern for $$ takes away from their care. A $250 deposit and paperwork before the vet will see you. I was there for 4 hours with my cat and if I left my cat overnight, they estimated the cost between $2k and $3k. Yes that thousands. I took her the regular vet first thing in the morning and it was $147 compared to the $754.UPDATE: My cat died because they didn't check her kidney function when I went in. Her kidneys shutdown and the regular vet was furious

I brought my cat in yesterday bc he had apathy been hit by a car. I was told 3 times within a5 minute period that it would be 650.00 deposit. While i don't have 650 on hand i proceed to my car to fill out paperwork for 2 companies that will (if you qualify) give credit to pay over time. So, after about an hour they call me (from inside) to say they don't have an orthopedic Dr. in and pushed me off to another facility that had one. Well they didn't. In the meantime they had agreed to look at him and wanted any records/x- rays that Jeff might have taken. I learned that not only did they not look at him but didn't even make a file, note or anything about him even being there. Just pushed me off to someone and wait on the next 650.00. It is the utmost in insensitive, rude and greed I've ever seen. That was the worst display of customer service or empathy that I've ever experienced, and I'm old. Looking for someone to blame? No, but maybe just a little humanity. Rotten, rotten people and literally I pray that everyday is worst than their last. I really do.
