Sullivan University is a For-Profit, private university. All the institution cares about is bringing in money by any means necessary. Nursing students at Sullivan University that actually get through the nursing program (many don't), as of 2022, ONLY 43.3% of nursing students pass the NCLEX which is required for employment in nursing. This information can be found on the Kentucky Board of Nursing: Prelicensure Program of Nursing Benchmarks. This means that 56.7% of Sullivan University nursing students take on tens of thousands of dollars of student loan debt and won't be able to go into nursing. Admissions Advisors are instructed by management to heavily push student loans onto students, even if it means adding a crushing burden of debt onto the students, all for the sake of "hitting the numbers". Not to mention that their student retention rate is terrible. Students that drop out still have to pay the loans they took out, and the way Sullivan prepares their financial package, they have to pay for 3 semesters/quarters at a time. Meaning that if the student drops out after the first semester/quarter, they will still have to pay for the second and third. In the eyes of the admissions office at Sullivan, you are not a student, you are a lead. You are a means to acquire money, that is it. They prey particularly on the underprivileged "leads" and use predatory techniques to rope you into attending Sullivan. The Department of Education is going after For-Profit schools like these and it is only inevitable before this school shuts down. I will be contacting SU accreditation agencies and everyone else with a bad experience should do the same.

I'm in the IT field and had done their Jumpstart program during high school. A lot of these reviews seem to be people surprised that a private college is expensive, what did you expect? My professors have been very helpful and you can contact them about almost any need and they will respond. I am an online student but the experience should persist into the physical experience. They offer free chances at certifications to help you get into fields. If you fail a class and take the penalty for having to pay to do it again, that is on you, this is college not high school and now is the time for your very best effort. If you can get the right tuition for this college, it is very much worth it.

I'm a student currently at Sullivan University. I just had to pay $1,500 to them because I had failed a class and then some how another. They said that financial aid didn't cover all my classes. So I was kept asking how much the financial aid cover. They never gave me a solid response. I had to pay that off just to graduate October the 28th of this year. I still haven't got a decent response for them about how much financial aid has paid and I have paid this money and now I'm with out knowing nothing. It's just mind-bottling that they would do this to people who are of low income who want to further their education for their family

Talked with Dina about potential enrollment into LPN program. She told me Sullivan students were REQUIRED to have Covid shot. Also that Covid shot was mandated for healthcare. I did some basic research to find that both statements were FALSE. Pretty shady.
