Trained and incentivized smoke and mirror sociopathic car sales. The car I bought was listed online for just over $9,600. The window sticker on the same car in the lot was just over $16,000. This should give you some idea of how badly they want to rip you off. They'll list competitive prices online but hope you didn't see them when you show up. Once you open a line of credit to buy your car, they'll secretly pile in thousands of dollars worth of "fees" or "coverages" that were never explained or given as an option for you to decline. You'll then be walked back to a windowless office in the back with a finance guy. In this office, a man struggles to log into his computer and then uses an iPad to have you choose additional "coverage". It is presented as though you must choose one, so I chose the smallest ($299). When you get home and look through the paperwork, you notice that your loan included a $2717.00 "Service Contract", a $598.90 "Special Ben Package", and a $299.00 window etched roadside assistance something. All for a $9,600 car. Even the 8.84% interest rate for a 72 month loan 794 FICO score is a little questionable. I tried to get explanations for these mystery fees but nobody could send me any documentation about what they were and how they got there. I finally got Jason (a finance manager) on the phone and he said they could take the "Service Contract" off of the loan if I came in to sign something. He also said that he couldn't remove the "Special Ben Package" because that's the dealership fee. Why isn't that in the price of the car and why call it a Special Benefits Package? Thats super shady. He also said he couldn't remove the $299 roadside assistance because they physically etch it into your windows when you buy it. Fine. I showed up to at least remove the "Service Contract" and upon inspection, there was no etching on my windows. So that one was just another fraudulent $299 cash-grab scam for nothing. How many people have bought this that think they have roadside assistance that will be stuck on the road because they never bothered with the window etchings? Sounds like a perfect class-action suit waiting to happen. I went to Jason's office and the first thing he said before he would do anything was in regards to the one star google review I had left until someone could answer my questions about the thousands of dollars of extra fees. There was never any talk or apologies about my experience. It was as if I was in trouble with the company, Jason was HR, and they needed something from me before they fired me. I assured Jason I would change the review, he pulled out a single sheet of paper for me to sign to get all the shady piled on fees off of my car loan (as if they do this all the time, all day long), and I was on my way. This was on Friday, March 29, 2024. He said he'd give me a call after it goes through on Monday. I noticed that my credit got hit with another inquiry on Monday but nobody has called and my loan was never changed as of today, April 4, 2024. I will update this review as things change for me and my terrible experience. UPDATE: April 10th, 2024 They still have not removed the fees from my loan and they are gaining interest daily. Luckily, the etching scam is indisputable physical evidence. An attorney is preparing a certified letter to send to the dealership to ask them to remove the unauthorized fees like they had promised. If there is no response, he'll put together a plan seeking recourse concerning the violation of consumer protection laws for fraudulent and deceptive practices.
