YWAM Louisville

My experience with YWAM Louisville was beautiful. I was emersed in a nurturing and challenging environment. I believe that if you are looking for a place to help you understand true Christian religion (James 1) then you should come here. The staff challenge you to love people around you in the housing and at the base by serving them with your actions, and with how you speak, and with how you keep your space. They challenge your mind by engaging you with lots of different teachers who hold lots of different perspectives. This is not an elementary place where you come if you want to be introduced to Christ, it's a place where you come to learn to do Kingdom work, to interpret scripture through lenses that you can hone by testing, and be challenged and developed in a space where they also promise to care for you, not to rip you apart and let you bleed out. I've been a part of multiple Christian initiatives that are leadership based and targeted at young adults. And none of them give you this picture of leading from service and that humility is glory. They don't call you to transparency, they teach you how to perform, but YWAM Louisville will call your bluff, it will air out all the lies that you've been believing. The consistency will be convicting. If you want to be told that you don't have to lay down your life: DO NOT COME. But if you want to lay down all your rights and pick up the cross of humility, service, vulnerability, nurture, and the work of the Gospel. Come. Your life will be better off for it.

i love ywam louisville! A beautifully diverse community that embodies the Faith and reaches out to the community around. I highly recommend it to anyone considering doing a DTS or SOMD

went to YWAM about a year ago to see what missions is like and had an amazing adventure and the time on my life and found my calling in missions and serving the lord

I really loved my time with YWAM Louisville, I have done 2 of the 3 schools they offer, DTS and SOMD. Both schools were what I needed at the time. This base will always be a home for me and the staff are amazing, and the friends I made were amazing as well. Without Louisville I wouldn't have known my calling to Mazatlan Mexico. As much as I wish that God called me to Louisville, I know that Louisville is still a great base and I love talking and recommending it to people!
