I live in one of their properties, Maple Brook Apartments and I have had countless problems with the internet service that they force you to use. If you are thinking of moving into this property please see below: IF you rely on the internet for anything, DO NOT MOVE HERE. My boyfriend and I moved to Louisville about 6 months ago and thought we had found a fantastic apartment to live in. The rooms were all quite large and they allowed pets and were very friendly. BUT they supply the internet and cable and you cannot go elsewhere to get those utilities. The internet included with rent is 5MBPS download, and they only offer up to 10 MBPS for an extra $25/month. When we first moved in it took Maple Brook over 2 weeks to get our internet hooked up. They use a third party internet technician company called Korcett to provide service to the tenants and they were incredibly incompetent. I was looking for a job at the time and finishing my degree online so this was obviously infuriating. A couple months later we had another internet outage for an entire week. And yet again, we are currently suffering from another outage lasting over 24 hours now. To make things worse, Maple Brook has a clause in their lease that they are not responsible for any outages occur so that you are powerless to take any action against them. If you work from home or need to do online schoolwork, this is not the place to be. I still have not even hooked up the cable Maple Brook provides because I know it will be a headache. However, I will give the apartments 2 stars because they are very spacious and nice. There is also the added bonus of the world’s best ice maker in the freezer.
