Went in with intentions of getting a tooth extracted. I was told by my dentist office that the cost would be $179. When I arrived they took my payment then an assistant took me back did a panoramic extras and then the dr came in and went over options with me. Then the assistant came back took me in to another room showed me options of payments. $279 for Extraction, 1700 for bridge, 2700 for an implant. Which all had to be paid in full because they do not take insurance. I said I was told the extraction would be 179 I was sitting in the chair when the dental assistant at my dentist office called and I heard them tell her that. She said nope that was for your exam and your CT scan. A panoramic x-ray is a ct scan I guess. She then said, a CT scan and told me if I wouldve went to a hospital for that I wouldve been paying over $400 so I was lucky. They refused to give me my money back and told me that I agreed to pay for it. If they wouldve showed me all these costs upfront I wouldve walked out before I wouldve paid the 179. Horrible!! My husband called after I was in tears and they lied and told him that they did show me my options before I paid the 179. Horrible treatment of patients and what a great easy way to take somebodys money! Just sad to take someones money when they didnt even do anything and be totally fine with it. This is why people cant afford dental work and end up getting worse! So just one future patients that come here ask them all the options and dont let them take your money first. I learned the hard way and Im out 179 and had to pay another oral surgeon who awesome to take it out.
