Home Instead did a solid job with in-home companion care for my mom for about two years. Office staff was pleasant, and if someone didnt show up, the office sent a replacement. We had a regular caregiver during the week who worked 8 hours a day. Weekends were harder getting someone regular to work, but we eventually landed a caregiver who was a gem. Overall, Home Instead seems well managed. It also has a large network of caregivers; thats what you want because it means replacements are easier to find when someone doesnt show for work. I wish my mom were still capable of living at home. If she were, Id call Home Instead again. We had some hiccups along the way, especially when Covid first hit, but thats to be expected. Overall Home Instead provided a reliable service and good care. Id recommend this place.

In general, Home Instead Senior Care is fully committed to providing quality experiences for its clients! Most of the caregivers that have worked with my grandparents have been very kind, courteous, hard-working, and attentive. There have been a few exceptions, however, in that there have been a select few caretakers who have lacked compassion and have not worked diligently to provide the best care possible. Overall, though, I have been very pleased with the quality of Home Instead Senior Care and the friendliness and helpfulness of its employees, both the caretakers and the office staff/administration.

We've been using Home Instead for the last nine months to care for mom. While there have been some hiccups, overall I'm pleased with the job they do. Caregivers overall have been solid and reliable. People show up when they're supposed to show up--and if they don't, or if there's a change in the schedule, the agenda gives advance notice or has a replacement ready to be at the house within 30 minutes. That's the advantage of having an agency with a large caregiver roster. I still have occasional management headaches, but they're far less than I've had with other agencies. I'm able to work and leave the house without a lot of unnecessary caregiver drama. That's such a welcome relief. And a suggestion: Tell the agency up front that you want a steady roster of the same people coming. They'll do their best to accommodate.

I hired this company for my father he needed help with light house work meal prep Medication reminders & companionship so the family and I decide to seek help from this company and before I start let me clarify that from my understanding each home instead has different owners & are ran different some better then others but to get back to this location & experience we had the caregiver came myself and my sister were their to greet her & honestly wanted to get a vibe and make sure dad was safe & in good hands we left happy we thought everything was great well turns out she was just putting on a show and a smile because after a week or two dad started noticing things coming up missing we were like ok maybe he misplaced them but he continue to assure us he knew exactly where he left things & they were gone so we sat up a nanny came hidden camera what ever you like to call it & seen so much so first we seen that we were paying for the women to literally sit on her phone next to dad pay him no attention no conversation no nothing! She was texting taking calls listening to music & would take numerous smoke breaks & sleeping We had a camera upstairs as well she went into dads bedroom had no business being in there what so ever she stole from my father and thought no one would believe him because he is in the early stage of Alzheimers dad sent her to the grocery a few times she kept his recipes & cash and paid for his grocerys with her EBT card (food stamps) only reason I know that is because she bragged to a buddy on her phone about it which we have on record from the camera she brought a child to work with her once so eventually I decided it was time for a talk with the women not the company the women first I wanted to know why I wanted answers so I popped up on what she didnt know was her last day her service was no longer needed or wanted & we had a very long conversation she apologized she told me she was paid 9.00 a hour she was tired over worked she would come in to not only dads house but multiple houses all in one day and was afraid to say no to the company because she said they would cut her hours and give her attitude so she said those excuses and also told me she herself that if she were to tell me some of the things the company told her to do or say that I wouldnt believe it she told me she would never hire the company she works for for her own loved ones and she returned a few items she took not the cash but a few pieces of Sentimental things of dads she cried she said she was so under paid over work and was in need for cash she was told by the company to add mileage everyday even if she doesnt go anywhere because she gets paid a certain amount per mile she was told to stay locked in even if she left to go run errand for dad so instead of turning everything into the company because for some reason I believed this women I seen the hurt in her eyes I seen that when she said Im so sorry her apologies were coming from her heart not because she was caught she was broken she was tired she was wore down the women told me something so personal that she was so over worked she had to beg them to let her go home to shower & have a hot meal she said the company cared only about someone anyone filling the shift so that everyone got paid so instead of turning her in as I was previously saying I didnt I had a very long pep talk with her about goals life morals faith all of that & more my wife and I just wanted our questions answered she explained she was tired she was over worked she hated the company she worked for she was over worked under paid she had just given up she lost all hope she was a single mother trying her best but still struggling 9.00 a hour is awful to live on without children so I understood but doesnt justify stealing but thats besides the point when we seek help for our loved ones we dont think about things like this like we dont think about is the company good all around or are they over working under paying the staff bc that could effect how our loved ones are treated this was a eye opening!
