. Family Health Centers of Louisville (FHC) provides medical care to all residents of the Louisville community, regardless of ability to pay. Patients with insurance are welcomed. Patients without insurance are welcomed. . Charges, if any, are billed according to ability to pay- based on a sliding scale. For this reason, they ask to see proof of income when you become a patient. . They have doctors, nurse-practioners and nurses on staff, and they can provide referrals to other docs who are specialists. . FHC East Broadway is one of several FHC centers across town. They have an in-house medical lab. They have translation services for many languages. They have education programs for monitoring blood pressure and managing diabetes. They have a pharmacy with very affordable prices. . I have received good health care at the FHC and I can recommend it.

Either they never answer the phones or when you do manage by some miracle to get someone to pick up and make an appointment, they call you to reschedule at the last minute. And then you have to wait over a month to get your kid in. IDK that it's just a well child checkup. He hasn't had one in years because of their inability to answer a phone. They actually called me because they haven't seen him in a while. That was two weeks ago. The appointment was tomorrow. Now it's not til the end of April. If they reschedule again I'm going to find my kid a new pediatrician because I just can't have people this inept responsible for my child health.
