The food is awful. They serve cold food to the residents. The coffee isn't good and the creamer I used was curdled. Service is slow in the dining room. It may take 40 - 50 minutes to be served. That could be the reason the food is cold. The rooms in certain areas are outdated and smell like a wet basement that hasn't been used in years. However, the daily activities keep the residents busy and engaged. That is a huge factor when choosing a facility.

My grandmother lived here a little over a year.  When it was Atria, the place was pretty nice, all staff were caring.  My grandmother always enjoyed the food. Then Vitality took over, they lost some good staff in that process. There were defiantly some good staff left, but there seemed to be less staffing at times than what it was before. This came through on the care that my grandmother received.  The new kitchen staff could not seem to remember my grandma was allergic to eggs despite being told multiple times, they continued to send her eggs! Also, there are still Atria's left in town, maybe try one of those.

When this place was Atria, it was run very well, the food was very good, and the residents were well cared for.  But around the first of the year Vitality bought out Atria, and things have been going downhill ever since.  While on paper things might be checked off the same, I can say first hand that the personal care is nearly not there.  The food is as basic and unflavorable as can be.  They come in the room, do the basics and out the door without even speaking to my mother.  When Atria she loved the place.  Now she doesn't like it at all.  I'm now starting my search for a new and better place.  She pays way too much for no better than mediocre care.  It is obvious that Vitality is in it only for the money.  Even the employees say so.
