Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists and Animal Emergency

I wish I could give everyone here 1 million stars! We were in the Lexington area visiting from Illinois when our sweet dog Zeus had a medical emergency. Bluegrass was able to quickly see him but unfortunately his issue was not fixable and we had to make the difficult decision to put him down. The staff was so amazing and compassionate through this extremely difficult time. When we returned home, we received the sweetest hand written card from the staff. Multiple people all wrote kind words and condolences and it was so special to receive. We wish we could have brought our loving pup home with us, but because we couldnt, we are so grateful for having Bluegrass Veterinary Services close by. Thank you again to everyone.

BVS is 100% the reason my pup, Fitz, is still with us today. We brought him in for acting off. They listened to us and made sure to run every test possible. Turns out he needed an emergency surgery. They handled him with utter care and compassion. Following up multiple times after to make sure he was doing well. Love these people

If you can afford it, this clinic offers excellent diagnosis and treatment! Everybody is kind and efficient! Just like any emergency clinic, though, its expensive!

I have never experienced anything like having my dog in peril. Dr. Whitney Jones and all of the staff at Bluegrass (BVS) are so amazing! They immediately started working on my dog. They put me at ease and kept me informed of what they were doing. They assured me that I could call for updates any time day or night. (Which I did). I am very pleased with them.
