My husband went to Dr. Menke for years, Dr Menke is an Amazing Awesome Doctor, and very thorough, and excellent, I recommend Dr, Menke to anyone. He is 100% in my book.

I scheduled appointment at least one month out, took my child out of school, got off work early and drove thru a monsoon from Scott county to Lexington arriving less than 10 minutes late due to weather conditions. The office took all of our information while we sat waiting for 30 minutes then decided to tell us that because we were late the Dr couldnt see us and we would have to reschedule. While we were waiting I went to the bathroom which was inside the office where there were literally no patients to be seen. This is extremely shady and frustrating. Why would they not tell us when we arrived that the Dr couldnt see us instead of take all our information and then informing us we would have to reschedule. Wouldnt take a chance on this Dr!!

Dr. Menke was referred by Dr. Lisa DeGnore, whom I consulted for increasingly severe pain in my right leg. My leg pain was caused by problems in my spine. After reviewing an MRI of my lumbar area, Dr. Menke was most straightforward in discussing both the possible paths forward and the risks associated with each path. I chose a two-level lumbar fusion as the best option, based mainly on the likelihood of becoming unable to walk, if I did nothing. It was the right choice for me, and I was walking the next day without pain. I was released to go home feeling great. I had some trouble with muscle spasms in my back, a few days later, but the Baptist staff fixed it with some more aggressive drug treatment. Today, I am three months out from my surgery, and my leg and back feel great. Dr. Menke is a star and I will see him if I need future back surgery!

Dr Menke was on time, very attentive to my situation (neck), offered an excellent review of my prognosis. I was more than impressed. I am not a candidate for surgery now. Hopefully, I never will need his surgery skills but I will definitely see him if and when that time comes.
