This school has unfortunately changed for the worse: From what was originally a welcoming, accepting, academic school has now turned into a more fascist, unreliable, unrealistic school. The members of the board had the audacity to fire two of the most over-qualified, academically structured teachers in exchange for people who aren't even qualified to teach upper-middle school. The high school is now more less being controlled by people of the board, whom might I remind you, are very bias towards the school in most circumstances because they are parents of teenagers in the school. They make it out to be some sort of community-based "your-opinion-matters" type school, but then make decisions about the school behind everyone's backs without consulting any of the parents of students at the school, hence the reason I left the school.
If you still do wish to go to the school, don't continue to have high hopes about everything, as from my experience anything can change almost immediately without any warning prior to the change.

Rather than share my experience I will offer the following advice to prospective parents and students: Do not sign a contract or obligate yourself financially until your child has had the opportunity to be in the school for at least a week and you, as a responsible parent, have thoroughly witnessed what happens at the school. Ask yourself if the sales pitch you were given matches reality. Ask yourself if you are going to be willing to finance the school well beyond the tuition contract. Ask yourself if the staff is comprised of people you really want your child to be with eight hours every day. If you are scared and feel that this is the only place in all of Lexington where your child can go to school and this is your very last option, you should probably take one more look around and think long and hard about your child's well-being and what your hopes are for their future.
