They do not return calls. Their answering machine says they will call you back within a week, and I undertand that clinics get busy. Sent an email as suggested by their website and still nothing. You would think a place with "trauma" in its name would take trying to make a new patient appointment more seriously.

This place is a complete joke!! After calling numerous times to get an appointment, because I was referred from another therapist. I get ahold of no one. So I tried the email method. After a few emails about name, date of birth, insurance card info and a time a date. I show up to the codell address on the time and date and literally no one is even here. Not even a receptionist to help. This is the worst place possible for any type of professional help I have experienced in my whole life. This place shouldn't even be in operation.

If you get assigned Annesia Nutter, do not even bother! I have had a lot of experience with different therapist, and she has been the worse. She cried more than me lol. Anytime I would express what I was going through or past experiences that traumatized me she would ONLY relate it back to her life and give me advice based on HER past experiences. Which is completely unprofessional for a Trauma therapist. The sessions were never really about me, but her life as well. I understand that as African Americans we can all develop and experience a lot of the same traumas, but it felt very demeaning for the answer for a lot of my problems to be " Oh I went through it too, so you will be okay". Ghetto. I will give her that she is excellent at being a motivational speaker or maybe a pastor but a trauma therapist? Absolutely not! With trauma a lot of the issues are deeply rooted and behind a lot the surface level topics and symptoms that show up and she did not succeed in that aspect. Anytime I would attempt to converse about deeper traumatic experiences that I have had, she would move past it and ignore it. I only continued to see her, because I understand that it may have been difficult for her to help me and I wanted to give her time to maybe improve and simply because I am all for black therapist but I should've left soon as she started giving me HER LIFE STORY. lol. There no way that I should know more about your life than I have explained to you about my life and you're a therapist. smdh. It all love though! God bless her

TLDR: very stressful and anxiety-inducing experience, its nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone here, sessions cancelled with short notice, and they made a mistake with my insurance and tried to charge me $400 I started therapy here a few months ago and had issues with my sessions being cancelled with very short notice, like less than an hour. Its also very hard to get ahold of anyone on the phone; at one point, they called me about something and asked me to call back and when I did, no one answered. They made a mistake with my insurance and I called and emailed and was told it was resolved. Then they tried to charge me $400 out of pocket because my insurance had a lapse in coverage. I called my insurance, there was no lapse in coverage. They hadnt even received claims for the sessions in question. TICC didnt return my calls over this, and even cancelled my therapy session when I wouldnt pay the money I didnt even owe. The issue was resolved eventually, but Im still just gonna seek care elsewhere. This was supposed to help with my anxiety and it made it worse instead.

I really wanted this to work out especially with such a diverse staff, but I was let down completely. I had a previous therapist who ghosted me and when coming to this agency I explained how that made me feel and what a trigger it was for me only for the same thing to occur. I had several losses so I had so much anxiety when I became pregnant again. I had a therapist who walked with me during my pregnancy and we made plans for how to deal with PPD after delivery only for the provider to stop seeing patients right before I delivered. I ended up with an emergency c section where both my baby and I almost most died and was stuck with no one to talk to about it after. I felt alone, disappointed, and discouraged. Its been a huge turn off to ever try therapy again.
