Responding to Leonard Shatner. I believe it is Leonard, and the woman you are referring to is named Eileen Cure. Mrs. Cure was called out by her own staff after telling them not to hire black financial advisors because her "clients" do not want to do business with them. She is now suing her former firm, LPL Financial for $95 million in damages because she lost most of her business. She is originally from Texas but seems to have run off to Kentucky to start anew with this firm. Why did this firm hire her? She admits to having retained only a fraction of her clients therefore she isn't bringing a large book of business to the firm. No it is definitely NOT a good look for this firm. And considering the increasing number of POC who are high earners with considerable assets looking to hire financial advisors, learning that a potential firm has someone like Mrs. Cure on staff is an immediate turn off.

Check BBB first before you invest your money here. Trust me check it first and choose wisely. I didn't and got a nominal return on a "guaranteed" 15 plus year investment of app. $15000. The vast majority of the 3% "guaranteed" return was retained by this company via hundreds/thousands of nominal "trading" fees. I went into this firm as it was in the same building our law office was to roll over a 401k into a government bond or other guaranteed investment. Bruce Hanks talked me out of this for purportedly a 3% guaranteed return on my investment. Rather than going with my gut I trusted him to my detriment. Then, when I went to cash out the 401k Mr Hanks was of no assistance whatsoever. He initially told me he would assist and I never heard back from him and he never returned multiple phone calls. Thanks for nothing Bruce!
