I went to Integrity to compete my paperwork to work at Amazon, I got denied twice! Because according to the employee my English profiency is not good enough even when I understand and can write English. I came from Cuba 5 months ago and I'm just trying to work, I have friends that work at Amazon and never faced this type of discrimination, Amazon accommodates new hires when their main language is not English. I'm still in disbelief this is happening. I hope prompt action is taken to solve this issue

Two weeks ago, I took my mother to Integrity Office for a background check, drug test and pre-hire activities but they turned her back because of her English level. When you apply on their website, they ask you to choose your preference language(English or Spanish), meaning they assume that not everybody is fluent in English, plus they keep pointing diversity, equity and inclusion on amazon website. They should take example from the DMV, that really knows what diversity is about. My mother has a bachelor degree and she worked for 26 years before she retired in a country where they speak French. She has had the opportunity to become a us permanent resident and to work to the US, the lady treated her like if she was stupid.
