        The whole point in these meetings are to hear the message that WE can recover! The Alano holds alot of experience, strength and hope. I receive something new every time I go and has thoroughly made my recovery more positive in keeping me aligned on a day to day basis. The people really care about each other as we share this common dilemma but make note, WE have the solution!

        Today was my last day at Alamo. There are a lot of long timers that are very judgmental. They question peoples motives for being there saying people are just there to get there papers signed. They dont think about the fact that they ARE there. Alcoholics are not there for lectures. That seems to happen every lunch bunch. I was there today and the meeting was running over. Darryl had the meeting sheets and wouldnt give them to the people that needed to leave. Another man brought them upfront and when I said I needed to go to work his response to me was you should have thought about that before you picked up your first drink.
