Mr Shields is completely unprofessional and I would not recommend his services to anyone. This is based on his inconsistency. Inconsistency is not what a client wants from a defense attorney. I was a fully paid client of Mr Shields for 2 different issues. He did and a good job. I needed him for a 3rd issue (early termination of Probation request hearing) and he failed me in everyway. would not return my phone calls and I actually saw him at the courthouse at the same time as my hearing and I asked him for 1 second of his time and he told me no. Not exactly the way I was expecting to be treated since I always paid my accounts in full. Have to wonder about an attorney that acts like former clients don't exist. I wouldn't have bothered writing this review, except the fact he ghosted me. A simple return call with just about any excuse about being too busy or whatever would have been infinitely more professional

Sandra Freeburger has been the attorney we hired for our family concerning a surprise civil dispute, and she was very forthcoming and clear at the beginning what we would be needing and what would be expected. She has communicated with me throughout this entire time clearly & efficiently, and thus far and done everything she can and could do to help our family through this matter. She is ready and aware at every angle, educated on what's needed, and strategic on her approach. I am also very thankful for her being aware and understanding when it comes to our needs. The trial date is coming up, and I will most certainly update you with the outcome of working with Mrs. Freeburger. Trial Update: On the day of trial, Sandra was not only extremely engaged, knowledgeable, but she was also highly sensitive to the fact that it was proving to be a traumatic experience for me and my family. Mrs. Freeburger used everything that she could and what she thought would help us out in the verdict against the other parties, that includes everything I had brought to her previously while preparing for the trial, or even added. During the trial, she would 'check in' with us at break times and after the trial to make sure we knew what was happening and what to be aware of next. Her legal representation restored my faith in parts of the justice system, and it isn't always what you have or don't have as a client. When it comes to civil cases and property, land laws it can be very confusing and, as a client, Sandra helped us draft up our case, and gathered anything needed for the trial in no time at all. She would always get back to us quickly and made it a seamless operation, especially as we were facing time constraints preparing for this trial date. All of her education and professionalism definitely showed during this day in court. Even her 'findings of fact' were well put together and prepared. That, to me, was an important step. This firm is worthless, do not hire. I hired Dane Shields to handle estate matters after my father passed away. I was never given the date of the first court date, I had to call the clerk to get it myself because they dont return phone calls. He showed up 2 hours late for court and proceeds to file the wrong paperwork and the judge schedules a follow up court date. I tried numerous times to contact Mr Shields office to try to get it corrected with no answer to any message I left. I had to wait until the next court date to ask him about correcting it, where he assured me it would be done. After a few weeks of hearing nothing, I emailed the secretary, to which she replied that we were waiting for the judge to sign something. Another couple weeks go by and I contact the court clerk who stated that there was nothing at the court waiting on signature. Its been 4 months of wasting my time and stealing my money, because now I have to start all over with a different lawyer who knows what they are doing.

My boyfriend paid Mr Shields a good amount of money after Mr Shields agreed to take on his cases. Mr Shields has had zero contacted with my boyfriend ever since and has not showed up for one court date after I called myself and was assured the dates were on his calendar. So now my boyfriend has had to defend himself in court and sentenced without any assistance from the lawyer that he paid. So if you like just handing over money because you have nothing else to do then Mr Shields is your man but if you need actual legal assistance he is a total waste of time and money.
