Why are the cabinet offices not open to visitors and commonwealth taxpayers in person? I recently had to work through a security guard to turn in some vital paperwork and get answers to important questions that affect my personal life. I wasn't allowed to speak to the KREC in person, which is why I made the drive to Frankfort to meet with the KREC in person since I had time-sensitive documents in hand and essential questions that needed to be answered. While I was standing there in person, the security guard called the department within the cabinet with whom I was turning in the paperwork to in order to get answers to my questions. Unfortunately, I had to rely upon her interpretation to relay information correctly to me from the department in which she knew nothing about. How are you serving your taxpayers if you aren't allowing them to visit your office in person for help?
