Extremely Disappointing Experience with Hometown Concrete I recently had an absolutely terrible experience with this company that has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. On 9/26/23, while driving on the highway, I was unfortunate enough to encounter one of their concrete trucks, and what ensued was nothing short of a nightmare. Debris from the one of their concrete trucks flew off and struck my car, causing significant damage and putting my safety at risk. Not from the road but directly off their truck. Missing the person in front of me and hitting my windshield. What followed was a series of events that only exacerbated the situation. Not only did the company refuse to take any responsibility for the incident, but they also displayed a complete lack of accountability and professionalism in their response. Trying to gaslight me. I tried to reach out to them multiple times through phone calls, but my attempts were met with deafening silence. It's astonishing that a company can be so unresponsive and dismissive when their vehicle's negligence led to damage and posed a potential threat to other drivers on the road. Any reputable company would ensure that their operations are carried out safely, and they should promptly address any issues that arise due to their negligence. Hometown concrete failed to meet these basic expectations. I find it necessary to warn others about my experience with this company to prevent them from going through similar distress. In a world where accountability and customer service should be paramount, they have demonstrated a shocking disregard for both. My advice is to steer clear of Hometown concrete and their concrete trucks, as the potential for damage to your property and safety is not worth the risk. This experience has not only cost me financially but also mentally draining trying to get someone to call me back. In conclusion, my experience with them was abysmal, and their failure to address the damage caused by their concrete truck is inexcusable. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and consider alternative, more responsible companies.

First Post: These guys just showed up unannounced at my work place, took up all the parking places (including my reserved parking place) with their huge trucks to work on the neighbor's house. As soon as I pulled up, I asked, "can I help you?" The guy who looked to be the supervisor just said, "no." He walked away and I stood there waiting for an explanation. Some guy finally came over and said, "we'll be real quick. We just have to drop off two loads." That was an hour ago and they're still out there. Second Post: Based upon the thoughtful response to my complaint, I've upped the review to 3 stars. I wish the workers who descended upon our parking lot yesterday were as polite as the person responding to my review. You would think a company who is so dependent upon community spaces for their work would be a little more kind to that community. This almost certainly would not have been an issue if they weren't so dismissive. Third Post: Here they are again. Second time in two weeks parking in our lot, parking over my reserved space. I just wish they had the courtesy of asking permission.

We apologize for the situation that was created from this project. Can you please provide us the location of this incident so that we can investigate it. There were no communications provided to us in regards to this. If we would have received communications, we would have addressed this situation that day to make it right, even if this was not our fault. Our trucks are currently equipment with cameras so we can research this incident. We can try to determine if this was from our driver or or not. We aim to make as little impact as possible on the surrounding areas of a project but sometimes proper areas to clean our trucks off are not provided. With your additional input, we can investigate if the contractor provided us with the proper wash down area for this project.

I am sorry to here about the situation, but we are only the material suppliers for projects and not part of the labor teams that put our product down. We are called in by contractors to provide material in order to help projects get completed. As you mentioned, we do have some bigger trucks and we try our best to limit the disruption to any parking or traffic flow the best we can during the construction phase of any project. But as you have experienced, this is not always obtainable for the entire course of the project. We will continue to try and work with our subcontractors that bring us to construction sites to help limit business interruptions with traffic while we continue to help improve various properties around the tri-state. Please feel free to reach out to us with any additional questions of concerns.
