The owner, Alex Welter, talks a good game but fails in delivering a good job. We contracted him to do a backyard landscape with a small pond. After waiting months for him to be "free",(which, to be fair, he said would be necessary because he was so busy) they finally showed up, only to deliver a less than professional result. The crew, who did work hard, seemed like just a bunch of guys Alex had asked if they "wanted to make a buck' than anyone invested in the business. When finished, his "minimalist" design looked bare and we later had shifting mulch and a pond and patio of tile that left much to desire. The pump he provided was a cheaply made design that clogged repeatably. We asked for some touch-up work to be done and he said he would. Very little was done and although we specified what was wrong and he agreed, nothing was completed. The last contact was two workmen we hadn't seen before unclogging the pump and making suggestions about what needed to be done. They seemed to be sharing a "private" joke most of the time and after a mediocre effort abruptly left after promising that a crew would be out the next day to finish the touch-up. No one ever came or contacted us again. We waited, thinking maybe another more pressing job or the weather was delaying him. Tried calling him and e-mailing him. No reply. As of today, we haven't had any contact with him, no explanation, and no replacement bushes which he said would be replaced if they failed to grow. We had 2 bushes fail. So, I would warn anyone wanting a landscaper to avoid this joker like the plague. Or Covid! Judging from the review submitted earlier by Diana J. (which I wished we'd read sooner!) many would agree.

This was the WORST landscaper I have ever dealt with. We waited we waited five months before a blade of grass was turned over while he held our deposit of thousands of dollars. Then toward the end of the project ...Spring/ summer of 2020demanded final payment, we refused and he then would not talk to me at all. The job was never completed, and in an email he called me "a liar." Notes from SD1 proved I had not lied but he refused to be polite and apologize. One neighbor who used him warned others about his work. I am still waiting for him to replace plants that died. There is much much more. The contract was signed around September of 2018, the work commenced late January of 2019 and was never finished per agreement. We have many many motor serious complaints but I think the readers get the message. Obviously we were taken advantage of and still disgruntled over the experience after two years. . I would not assign any rating but web sit requires it.
