Well here we have Mrs. Emily Newton having me sign a controlled substance form for my medication then having me do diagnostic testing just to find out I somehow breached the controlled substance agreement before she even prescribes me any medication. Kinda sounds like a breach in psychiatry. Goodluck I am cancelling all future appointments with her because she does not want to hear what I have to say.

I switched from Astra to Baptist Health Hardin. I had gone to Astra Behavioral Health for around two years, and my experience there was growing consistently worse. I had told myself that mistakes are normal and to be expected, but the mistakes kept piling up and started to feel like negligence. I would become so anxious when it came time to deal with them at the end of every month because I knew some kind of issue would pop up, and I would be left scrambling trying to fix it. I felt really guarded around their staff and like I couldn't advocate for myself. My family kept telling me to switch, telling me that what I was experiencing with Astra wasn't normal. I left a review on Astra-- Go check it out. I really put off switching, but I am so glad I finally did. I've now been going to BHH for around 6 months. My first interaction with BHH was so kind that it took me off guard. The difference in communication was actually jarring. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that I spoke with. He actively listened to me, and I really needed that then. Thank you!! At first, I felt pretty cynical and was just waiting for issues to start popping up, but that never happened. Everything is just so... easy. Things work. I like their MyChart app. The folks there are empathetic and approachable. I haven't been snapped at or infantilized. I don't need to contact them four or five times to remind them to fill my prescriptions. They call me back when they say they're going to. I trust them, and that's a great feeling when it's in regards to your mental health. I so appreciate having a stable resource for mental health treatment.

Dr iqbal is a very caring, he diagnosed my wife properly after years of being misdiagnosed. He always returns calls promptly and sees us asap if needed. Couldn't ask for a better dr.

I would never send anyone there. Never call back. Uses you as a ginny pig with changes of your medicine. Leave messages on top of messages and nothing. They also lie to you. Never will go back to them at all.
