Arlington Park Apartments

Can't say much about the apartment, I was too busy getting busy to pay attention.

I loved this apartment complex at first and recommended all my friends and family; however, after multiple years there were some really upsetting things that happened. First, they will have you put down non-refundable pet deposits and charge you an additional fee for having a pet each month but then will not use any of these additional payments toward any damages your pet may make. They will then charge you excessively for every little thing including small marks on the walls, etc. because they had to use a small amount of paint to cover those marks. Be sure to report ALL damages when you do your walk through because they will not repair things upfront but will attempt to charge you additional fees when you move out to repair those things. Basically, do not have any accidents or pets in this apartment complex unless you are willing to not get your down deposit back and then be charge substantially more in order to get out of the apartments. Also know that apartment rates will rise every year whether under contract or not and they will just give you a notice that month that your utilizes and rent are going up. I hate to give such a review but it is warranted.

My observations are based on a relative's residency & what I repeatedly noticed when they lived there. The noise residents hear from neighboring apartments is AWFUL& should be considered! The construction of these apartments offers extremely thin walls & ceilings, making noise levels of neighbors, ie., children, conversations, walking across the floor, unreasonable. If your schedule isn't on your neighbor's schedule, the living experience will be negatively impacted by this! Renters BEWARE prior to entering a lease agreement for a year that you can't legally depart from, should you become miserable! A SPECIFIC NOTE: I noticed that leasing staff were compassionate about tenant issues concerning animal & domestic abuse. Although technically unable to intercede, they were sympathetically responsive. Their response was as helpful & supportive as possible under the circumstances experienced by tenants to those issues.
