If youre on the fence about this company, dont be. I dont do many reviews. Burris Home Improvement is one that am happy to write a review for. They built my house in 2017 and my family and I are blessed to live in such a quality built home. A couple of my favorite things about the house are: its very energy efficient. My heat and air bills are surprisingly low all year long. Secondly, we have a full basement and it is 100% dry. Its not even damp. This is something that was important to me in the building process. Honesty and integrity is hard to find these days. Please give these guys a call if you have a new construction, remodel, or roofing project.

We hired BHI to replace the gutters for our church. The old system was failing and dumping water down the middle of our building. BHI did a quick analysis based on photos I sent them and responded with a very reasonable quote. Just replacing the gutters with a similar set-up would have been the easy thing to do, but BHI went above what was expected. Wesley recognized what was causing the gutters to prematurely fail and offered a solution that would prevent it from repeating by moving the downspouts to optimize efficiency. The new gutters look great and are redirecting water appropriately. Despite the heavy rains weve had recently the new system has been able to handle the water without leaks or overflows. We have been extremely satisfied and would highly recommend the BHI team.

In late 2020, my family and I decided to move back home to Campbellsville. We quickly found a place to build overlooking the lake. We had built our previous home in Crestwood using a large corporate builder. We picked our floor plan from a list of about 10 options and made a few simple decisions regarding cabinets, flooring, and paint. When choosing a builder for our "Forever Home" we wanted to do something completely different. We had envisioned building a custom modern farmhouse. We worked with a local design company to help customize our floorplan and home design. Next came the most important decision. We wanted to choose a community builder/contractor who lived and worked in central KY; someone who was well known and respected in this area. We also wanted to partner with someone that actually had experience with building homes, not just coordinating subcontractors for a fee. Richard Burris (Burris Home Improvement) had knowledge, skill, and experience that was unmatched. He met with us and provided a very detailed quote from the beginning (something we knew was difficult during the pandemic). He was very honest and upfront with all expected costs and recommendations and how supply chain issues could impact our options and timeline. This is something that completely stood out from other builders in the area. It was clear that honesty, integrity, and diligence were of the upmost importance for Richard, his crew, and the subcontractors he worked with while building our home. Richard was involved in the day to day building of our home from that first meeting until the day we moved in. Building a custom home requires making A LOT of decisions. It can be quite overwhelming especially for someone who can be as indecisive as myself. We were able to depend on Richard and his team to offer their expertise and opinion for every detail in our home. Now that it is complete, I can honestly say that I am living in my dream home. The workmanship is excellent. We will enjoy this home for many years to come.
