Dont even deserve 1 star this is the worst company ever! They are crooks the water smells like bleach they dont even let you know when theres an advisory you have to go to Facebook to find that out/ this should be illegal. Also water is very hard and rates are ridiculous. They dont work with you on bill management no payment extension no minimum to keep your stuff on if ya fall on hard times. Worst company EVER

I do not think I have ever experienced such an unprofessional municipal, poor service and I am so glad to move out of their area. The water company and the people who work there are as bad as it gets.

SUDS! I've got SUDS in my water! For about 9-12 months now my water, on a frequent basis, looks like sudsy dish water. The 1st few months I thought my dishes must still have soap on them. Then I started taking videos of it out of my faucet & my frig that has 2 WATER FILTERS. SURFACTANTS! I looked up the cause & it is too much SURFACTANTS in the water, which can cause stomach issues. Myself & several neighbors have stomach issues. My cats puke too frequently. Trying to talk to the manager has been a complete failure. "He will call you back". Another failure. WHY won't he call us back? This is not brain surgery. MCWD, if you want a better rating it's pretty simple. Put out a quality product. Having your bill messed up or water shut off without notice is quite irritating but it is not DANGEROUS! SURFACTANTS are DANGEROUS! Got a new sink sprayer because the tubing was soooo green. ?Algae? The new tubing started turning green after about 2 months. Talked to the manager. He said that was normal. I'm having trouble believing that one.

I never received my monthly water bill from Meade county water. I dont know if they never sent my bill or if the postal service lost it. But they did send me a delinquent statement saying that my water would be shut off if I didnt pay the bill plus the delinquent charge. When I called to talk to them about this they said I would just have to start calling there office every month to ensure my water bill statement went out or that my payment was received. The delinquent statement irritates me because I never received a bill and they wouldnt look into why that was. My real complaint is why they arent getting with the 21st century. How hard is it to set up automated texts, emails or phone calls to let people know if there is a issue with there account, a service outage or a boiled water advisory. Why isnt Meade county water district communicating with there customers? Even my trash services company will send me a automated text or phone call to let me know if service will run a day late.
