Bourbon Ball Inn

The inn was clean and welcoming, with plenty of space in the room as well as multiple common areas to hang out if you aren't roaming around Bardstown (hard to not explore when main street is only a 2 or 3 minute walk from the inn and there are even more options than we had time for within a few miles). The Innkeeper/Owner, Hannah, was incredible! We had already planned out a few activities nearby but she helped fill in the gaps and all of her recommendations were great. Breakfast was well thought out and very tasty. Nearby activities: Plenty of activities nearby, Bourbon Trail/Distilleries being the main attractions. Walkability: Less than a 5 minute walk to the middle of downtown Bardstown.

It was the perfect spot for our wonderful getaway. Hannah is a delightful and thoughtful host. Homemade bourbon balls and a marvelous gourmet breakfast! She hit it out of the park for us! Thank you, Hannah!

We love Bed and Breakfast Inns, and this one is the very best we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. It is clear to us that the owner Hannah knows the hospitality business. Her attention to detail is absolutely top notch. Our room, 2nd floor King, was beautifully appointed both in dcor and in function. A lovely room, it contained all needed amenities refrigerator, microwave, Keurig with pods to choose from, A/C, gas fireplace. The bed was very comfortable with high quality bedding and nice pillows. The bathroom is an updated marvel plenty of towel rack, sink shelf, and shower shelf space. It even had forced air heat outside the shower door above the sink cozy in the mornings. Hannah was wonderfully accommodating with breakfast times working around everyones schedules. And the breakfasts goodness! They were simply awesome! 3 courses were always offered (for breakfast!) a fruit course with wonderfully fresh fruit, a main course that was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented and always included a vegetable accompaniment, and a dessert course that was AMAZING every day. We stayed for 4 days and we never had to have lunch! Waking up to yummy smells wafting from the kitchen was an added bonus! Finally, outside the eating area was a very nice patio with comfy patio furniture and a wonderful propane fire table. It was a perfect meeting place in the evenings to have a nightcap and visit with other guests. Eating breakfast with and having common areas to connect with other guests puts the finishing touch on a wonderful stay! Hannah is a new owner at this inn, but our experience left us with no doubt whatsoever that she will be a huge success. In addition, the location makes it easy to walk to old Bardstown without any problem. Anyone visiting the Bourbon Trail or the beautiful Kentucky outdoors should consider the Bourbon Ball Inn for their stay. We are not normally this effusive, but this was truly a wonderful experience. Safety: We walked to old Bardstown every night for dinner and/or drinks and never felt like there were any problems.
