O'Shea Strengths Coaching

Before strengths coaching, I didnt think I had the ability to influence others and I wasnt sure what added value I brought to my workplace. My style of performance is different from my supervisor and I couldnt figure out how my talents were as effective. In my sessions with Kristen, I had space to discuss this challenge that felt like a road block. I had permission to be bold and experimental in how I approached a solution. We talked through what I needed from my supervisor and I asked for it. The conversation between my supervisor and I was a game changer. Now, I realize Ive been influencing others in my own way. I feel more confident in my role, and I don't think hardly at all about what I don't have or if I should be more like my supervisor or other co-workers.

As a small business owner, I felt my professional development was getting pushed aside. The most frustrating part was trying to find the time to get it done while still managing my business. After I heard Kristen's presentation about Clifton Strengths, I decided to start my professional development with the test. After getting my results, I decided that I wanted to go over them in a more detailed fashion than just a quick overview. The one-on-one coaching was beneficial for me to really dig into who I am and how are strengths can best be leveraged for my company. Kristen spoke about identifying your strengths and leveraging those to help you improve; I really resonated with that idea. In past corporate positions, there was always so much focus on identifying and mitigating weaknesses, but never a focus on strengths. I love this idea of nurturing your strengths and utilizing them to better ourselves and company in a productive way. I think it would be beneficial for all entrepreneurs to know their strengths!
