I've had an account at this branch since it was Capital City Bank decades ago. I have had very few problems over the years but recently I have had several serious issues which weren't handled well enough for me. Without going into details, a couple of the issues were changing my account's address without my authorization; and losing paperwork I had signed to authorize sending me a new debit card and claiming they had no record of me coming in to do that. Nevertheless, I am going to close my account and move to another institution. My trust in the branch is very low.

My account has been hacked three times in the last 6 months (wait, the story has a happy ending!). I came into the Topeka branch at 17th and Gage with the intent of closing my accounts. Each episode has been a major inconvenience. Assistant Branch Manager Aminah Tiller calmly (I had a bit of an attitude) and professionally restricted my account usage to allow outstanding checks to clear and preventing outside access to the account, opened a new one, and ordered a new debit card and checks. Fraud Manager Aly Simons was courteous and responsive when there was a glitch and my card was restricted from my own use while trying to purchase gas in Missouri. Thanks to the professional handling of this matter by Aminah and Aly, I have decided to retain Cap-Fed as my banking partner. Please do what you can to shore up security to discourage frequent intrusions on accounts.

The employees at CapFed Gage are knowledgeable, resourceful, and lovingly patient. Their problem solving skills and security checkpoints are high quality; top notch.

Even though the Gage location is not the closest location to me I love coming to this location. They are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful and kind. Louise
