A J's Import Garage

They're good mechanics for imports. They know what they're doing, have the tools needed, and they won't tell you what you want to hear, but will tell you what is needed. They can come off as a little stoic maybe, but I want the work done right and don't need warm fuzzies. They're not cheap, but they usually beat the dealership and I trust them much more. Also, I've noticed more and more that locally owned auto shops tack on small surcharges for bullcrap. For example, another local shop (Performance Tire and Auto) added a $10 charge to a recent bill for an oil change on my son's Ford Escape. When I asked I was told that it was like an incentive gratuity to the guys doing the work. It was supposed to encourage them to take their time and fully reposition and re affix a plastic shield that needed to be removed to complete the oil change. Another {Six Auto} had a $5 doc prep fee. For a tire replacement. AJs doesn't play those games.

Great service, very detailed information on what needed done and was done in a timely manner. My wife said"it's nice to have a legit shop and honest people to go to" our Mini Cooper will always go there
