Poor diagnosis and super long waiting times. I was seen on a Monday afternoon and was not prescribed any medication and my condition persisted. I had to go to the Olathe location on another appointment same week and was given antibiotics for my condition and I felt much better then. Defnitely will not be visiting this location ever again.

I have gone to Spira Cares for years - no issues with Crossroads, Lee's Summit, or Independence. But I went to the Shawnee location because they were open on weekends I needed to get in. Right side mid- to upper-abdominal pain. Said they were going to do a urine test, scan, blood work, and exam, but after the urine test didnt show anything, they said they didn't need to do the scan or bloodwork. The exam consisted of a flat palm lightly rubbing my belly as if it were a baby bump - no "poking" to discover where the pain was. I was told it was a muscle strain and received a prescription for nausea and diarrhea, which weren't issues, so I never filled it. They basically dismissed me. I ended up going to the ER 36 hours later and was admitted for an emergency gallbladder surgery the same day. My gallbladder was on the verge of rupturing. A proper exam and blood work would have shown elevated white blood cells/infection. Who knows what the scan they canceled would have shown.

Ive had a great experience using spire care. The staff at the front desk are always nice and professional. The doctor I see along with his nurse are educated and professional. Very nice and helpful!
