Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shawnee-Kansas City West, an IHG Hotel

5 Stars!! Top Notch Service!! This was my first stay at this Holiday Inn location in Shawnee Kansas and everything was Great!! William at the front desk is Amazing, he answered all my questions and was so kind and friendly-its all about good customer service and it is rare to come across good people that like their job and are good to customers and I am no longer a Hyatt Lenexa customer-I will be staying at this location- because of how friendly and welcoming William was to me and my daughter-I hope Holiday Inn knows how lucky they are to have an employee like him! Thanks William-you are the BEST-you have a NEW customer!! Rooms: The room was very clean and nice Nearby activities: We picked this location because of the easy access to the highway-I am in town with family celebrating my daughters Birthday-this hotel was very accommodating and William was so kind to us!!

They say one thing and do another and the staff is not on the same page as management. And extremely noisy hearing footsteps all night.

It had no heat in the rooms, the thermostats are not controllable in the rooms, and it was -22 degrees outside. Some people were offered to move rooms, others were offered space heaters that you put in a bathroom. The pool was unusable and the windows to it were iced over , as was the hot tub. The lobby was 55 degrees and the employees were wearing winter coats. When we asked about a rate adjustment, simply to match the online price of $79 per night for having to sleep in a hotel with no heat, we were flat out told no. Not as if we were asking for free nights or anything. We asked for a call from the manager and have received zero contact in over 2 weeks. Do you research on the reviews here. This hotel hasnt had working heat or AC in over two years and they obviously have no intention to actually fix it. Pair that with the fact that temp controls are restricted in the rooms to begin with, and management is unwilling to work with guests when their facilities cant even provide a tolerable experience. Avoid this place at all cost. Noteworthy details: They havent had working ac or heat in over two years. The thermostats in the rooms have restrictions. Indoor Pool is unusable do to the heat not working for the pool area.
