Steve and his team did a total electrical overhaul on our historic property last year and we could not be more pleased. Lighting, wiring, power upgrade; the whole shebang. I called a few residential electricians who did not want to fool with our project at all due to the challenges of a 120 year old structure with historical features. I called SJ Electric and thought they likely would pass on our home as well since they also do commercial work too. Not only was I wrong, but their experience and dedication for their work matched my passion for my property. Huge relief. My DIY skills had reached my electrical limit with in this old house the wife and I love. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Great example of why you should shop local! Phenomenal customer service, prompt response times, and, most importantly, a knowledgable technician. We had a smaller job this time around but will be calling a year-ish down the line for a bigger overhaul in our home.

Very disappointed, if I could leave 0 stars I would. I contacted SJ Electric because I needed an outlet and a circuit installed for a new over the range microwave. I called early in the week, on a Monday or Tuesday I think. I said I was completely flexible, any day during the week and any time would work for me. The person on the phone told me she would put me on the schedule for the current week and someone would call me with a day and time window for when they could come out. Around 4 PM on Friday I called them back because now the week is gone and I haven't heard a word from anyone. No one answered the phone so I left a detailed message, repeating my phone number twice and i never received a call back. I called again the following Monday, left another message, and still never received a call back. I then proceeded to find another electrician who has since completed the job. It has been 2 full weeks now and still no word from SJ Electric. I wouldn't waste your time, they will leave you hanging. Note also that I do always strive to resolve complaints or issues with companies before posting negative reviews as I understand things can happen but In this case there is nothing more I can do when they do not answer the phone or return phone calls.
