The front office ladies are SO rude. They talk to people however they feel like. It is always always always an issue with trying to schedule appointments and having them call me back. Thinking about switching psychiatrist because it should not be this difficult to see my psychiatrist.

First let me say Dr. Murphy is wonderful. Shes been extremely helpful and patient in this process. However, I have had continued struggles with the front desk staff. The woman who answers the phone is never pleasant. One day, I called the office and it must been a terrible day for her. I called her out about the attitude and professional manner. It ended up with her hanging up on me. Since, it has been hell trying to reschedule my appointments. To the point where I have to call from a different number to get through.

I had an appointment with Amanda today at 3:00 PM. I waited on the telehealth app for 26 minutes and decided to call the office to see if there was a technical difficulty. The office manager answered doctors office. And told me I was 13 minutes late and there was nothing she could do. I informed her that I had actually been on the call since 2:50. She put me on hold and told me there was nothing she could do. When I said that was ridiculous that I did everything I needed to do and could not have my appointment when it was not my fault, she hung up on me. Terrible, terrible patient experience.

I would like to share an excellent review of Dr. Murphy and AIM Mental Health Services. I was under Dr. Murphys care for a year, and truly believe she transformed my life and my thought patters. She helped me through many difficult and traumatic life events. I have never in years found a therapist like Dr. Murphy and doing insight-oriented cognitive therapy with her guided me to living a more fulfilling life. AIM was always prompt in returning my calls and refill requests, and went above and beyond to work with my insurance. They also helped me with billing and scheduling my appointments around my work schedule. I can not give this practice enough praise, and can not give a higher recommendation for a mental health professional.

I hate to leave this review because it is based off a phone call and NOT actual care from Dr. Amanda, but calling and trying to get an appointment was weird and awkward. And that shouldnt be the case for mental health care. The weirdest was when the phone was answered, like another review mentioned, the lady on the other line said, Hello, this is The Doctors which caught me off guard because I thought the business was called Aim Care so if they rebranded and changed their business, great! But would recommended making sure everything is consistent so there is not confusion when potential patients are calling to get care. It seemed like they maybe are full and not taking new patients (which is fine), but I was asked what I needed to be seen for and what medication I was currently taking and that was about it. The lady on the phone was nice, but sounded very overwhelmed and flustered, so I hope everything was okay! Havent heard back about an appointment yet, but will probably just go back to seeing a primary care doctor since it can be a struggle to find a good psychiatrist it seems. From the reviews, Dr. Amanda sounded like a great doctor! But if she is full, she is full. No biggie. My main recommendation is to try to make those first initial phone calls a bit more welcoming!
